  • Avoid Smoking and Limit Alcohol: Smoking and heavy alcohol use are major bone health risk factors.

  • Maintain a Healthy Weight: Being underweight increases the risk of fractures, while a healthy weight supports bone strength.

~ Medication: If you’re diagnosed with osteoporosis, medications like bisphosphonates (ex. Fosamax), denosumab (ex. Prolia), or hormone replacement therapy can help maintain bone density and reduce fracture risk.

~ Lifestyle Changes: Incorporating exercise, quitting smoking, and drinking alcohol in moderation can significantly impact your bone health.
